Established in 2026, the School of Law represents a significant milestone in the University's commitment to excellence in higher education and professional development. Recognizing the dynamic nature of legal systems in an increasingly interconnected world, the School is dedicated to fostering intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, professional competence, and leadership among its students. The School of Law is committed to preparing students for diverse and evolving career opportunities like Lawyers, judges, legal consultants, policy analysts, corporate advisors, arbitrators, academicians, and public administrators by offering a rigorous academic curriculum complemented by practical learning experiences, interdisciplinary perspectives, and value-based education.
The School currently offers two undergraduate programmes designed to cater to students at different stages of their academic journey:
• 3-Year LL.B. (Honours): A professional degree programme intended for graduates from any recognized discipline who aspire to pursue a career in law. The programme provides comprehensive legal education with emphasis on constitutional values, substantive and procedural laws, legal reasoning, advocacy skills, and professional ethics.
• 5-Year B.A. LL.B. (Honours): An integrated programme that combines the study of social sciences with legal education. The curriculum enables students to develop a holistic understanding of society, governance, economics, political institutions, and law, thereby equipping them with the analytical and practical skills required for the legal profession.
The academic philosophy of the School is rooted in the belief that legal education must combine theoretical knowledge with practical application. Accordingly, the curriculum has been designed in alignment with contemporary legal developments and national educational priorities while incorporating experiential learning methods such as moot court exercises, mock trials, legal drafting, client counselling, mediation and negotiation, internships, field visits, legal aid activities, seminars, workshops, and interaction with members of the Bench, Bar, industry, and civil society. Students are encouraged to participate in legal research projects, academic writing, debates, conferences, and publications that contribute to the understanding and development of law and public policy.
